Electricity price (CHF/kWh) for air conditioners and portable air conditioning devices = energy price / seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER); for example, 0.4 CHF/kWh / 7.18 (SEER) = 0.0557 CHF/kWh. For all devices up to 12 kW, SEER values are indicated according to the new Ecodesign Directive based on standard test conditions. You can find this information on the energy label of your room air devices.

Optimal conditions for comfort
The ideal comfort is achieved at a room temperature between 19 and 22°C and a relative humidity between 40 and 50%. If these values increase, comfort, coziness, and performance decrease. On approximately 100 days a year, during the summer months, the optimal room temperature can only be achieved by proper cooling or dehumidification to reach the ideal value for humans. Air-to-air heat pumps provide this comfortable climate.

More transparency for the consumer
In addition to the energy efficiency classes, you will also find the annual energy consumption (kWh/annum) indicated on the energy label. This value represents the everyday typical energy consumption of a heat pump in cooling mode, including temperature fluctuations and standby periods. The actual energy requirement depends on the system's usage and the installation location (region).
